meet sheri
Sheri Stanley began her classical guitar studies at the age of 9. At the age of 14, she joined the Ohio State University Classical Guitar Ensemble as its youngest member. When she was 18, She was accepted to the classical guitar department in the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) at the University of Cincinnati, where she studied with Clare Callahan and earned a Bachelor of Music Degree with focus on performance studies.
Sheri received additional tutelage as a performer in masterclasses with Jesus Silva, George Sakellariou, and Oscar Ghiglia. She spent several years as a member of the Atlanta Guitar Guild classical guitar orchestra and was one half of the guitar/flute duo, Intreccia.
meet Eugene
Eugene Braig has a passion for creating sonically pleasing environments. On mandolin and guitar, he has been active on central Ohio’s classical music scene for more than two decades. A professional biologist, Eugene takes a similar scholarly approach to the music he loves. His writing has been published in The Mandolin Journal, and he has served as a proofreader for the prestigious Editions Orphée.
He is the long-time Artistic Director of the Columbus Guitar Society’s concert series; is a regular member of several local chamber ensembles; and has performed at events held by Capital University, Otterbein University, Ohio Wesleyan University, Ohio State University, the Central Ohio Flute Association, the Dayton Mandolin Orchestra, the Central Ohio Symphony, two Ohio Governors, innumerable private events and weddings, and others. And Eugene actually likes playing restaurant gigs. Cheers!
